This package starts with a consultation to better understand your ideas on the project and meet all the family/friends that will be included in the video. Of course, any questions or concerns will be discussed at length. We'll review project options and find the best choice for your family. Before we conclude the consultation, we'll schedule a shoot date for your project and discuss locations based on your theme (we recommend the family home as it will be the most Christmasy).

On the shoot day, all parties will arrive at the agreed upon location on time. Set up and equipment testing will begin. When everyone is ready, we'll move into shooting. 

​

Time to film those happy scenes! Relax and don't worry about saying the wrong thing or being silly. Just breathe and your genuineness will come through! Anyway, there'll be plenty of time for shooting if you feel like a take wasn't your best.

​

That was a lot of hard work, great job! Now it's time to wrap up the shoot day with packing the equipment (that's us, not you). While camera and sound are being broken down, pull out a phone and snap some pictures of your family together and in their festive best! Next up, editing.

 

Included with the purchase of this package is full editing for your project. This includes non-linear editing of footage, sound, and color. If there is any personal note that you wish to be included in your Christmas film, it must be discussed either in person or through email communication no later than shoot day.

The final edited project will be finished and ready for viewing within 3 weeks from shoot day unless otherwise agreed upon. Your film will be uploaded to Attic Salt Entertainment's YouTube page as unlisted (only you and who you choose, will have access to viewing). A unique QR code will be generated for you and linked to the film. The link to the uploaded film and the QR code will be sent through Google Drive to your preferred email address.

Merry Christmas and a very cool film! Share the video however and with whoever you like. You could upload your QR code to a holiday card design, recipients scan it upon arrival to the wonderful delight of a video message. Or print it out on little paper squares and pass them out at the family or work Christmas party. "Look at my beautiful family!" You could even send it with a thoughtful note through text and email to every contact you have. It's up to you at this point. However, we do recommend that you share both the YouTube link and the QR code. Even though most people have access to a device that is capable of scanning QR codes, some don't. We wouldn't want anyone to miss out on your awesome Christmas card.

Christmas Card Options:

1. Remember the wonderful updates and year-in-review letters that family would send every Christmas? Imagine that, but being able to see and hear the actual individuals speaking! We open on the whole family together, Mom and Dad talk about work and life with the new baby, Grandma breaks in to remind everyone about the family reunion being held around Easter, Dad turns to Little Jake and asks 'how's school going?' Jake mentions his mastery at the spelling bee and new rank award with Boy Scouts. Susan brings in a plate of cookies and talks about her recent achievement at the science fair and what colleges at which she's started looking.

2. Send a little peek at how your family celebrates with a lovely montage pieced to classic Christmas music. Your family decorates the tree and dances around with the ornaments, warm cookies are pulled from the oven and devoured by a pack of sugar seeking children, Grandpa pulls out the old projector and shows young Amber how to operate it, Uncle Bill and Aunt Mary arrive with armfuls of gifts, Max and cousin Peggy play the guitar together, and Mom holds a spring of mistletoe over Dad while he's not looking. A special Christmas message then scrolls across images of twinkling lights. 

3. Instead of writing names at the bottom of a printed card, gather everyone together and share a message directly to the camera. Express your love and warmest wishes for a wonderful holiday orally. What is captured through the camera will be sent directly into the homes of your loved ones, bringing then just a little bit closer this Christmas season. This option is a great idea for newly weds who want to be with all their family and just themselves this year; those who've moved recently, share love and a new address to stay in contact; or the family that wants to try something a little different this year.

Of course, all these scenarios are to give you an idea about what the finished film will be like. Everything will be customized to the events that surround your family. That's why consultations are important!

THINGS TO NOTE:

 

On the day of shooting, 1 hour of set up, 2 hours of shoot time, and 1 hour of break down is included with the price of this package (a 4 hour slot).

Please bring food and water with you. Filming can make a person thirsty!

 

Hair, makeup, and festive attire to your liking is recommended. Hair, makeup, and attire are not included. If matching or coordinating outfits are desired, that must be discussed within your own family previously to shooting. 

​

A small box of props will be available to utilize on shoot day, it may include Christmas books, stockings, lights, garland, and ornaments. However, we recommend that you acquire your own Christmas props for your film. It will make the film much more personal and fleshed out. Pull down those Christmas boxes a little early this year and go through them. What's important to you when you're decorating? An advent wreath, twinkling lights, cherished ornaments, a nativity scene, wrapped empty boxes, and personalized stockings are all wonderful touches. If you wish to include a live tree, it must be attained at your own expense before shoot day.

Please keep in mind that editing takes time, Christmas is a very busy season, and if you want to create a Christmas card with your QR code, that will take you additional time. Booking at latest by early October to film in November is recommended. If we have an opening we will fit you in, but early bookings will receive first choice of shooting dates. We love your business, but we also want to make sure you get your film with enough time to send it out.

Pease download from Google Drive and save the finished files to your own device as soon as possible. We love our clients, but files take up a lot of space! Attic Salt Entertainment reserves the right to remove files from the Google Drive after a period of 30 days. We'd hate for you to lose your stuff, download right away!
